Mixed Media Madness

Today over at the Fiskateers site, Cheryl (one of the leads) is putting on a Mixed Media Extravaganza. I would definitely suggest stopping by and absorbing all her amazing techniques.

Here is my first Mixed Media creation of the day. I got to melt crayons, stamp, paint, and use ModPodge and punches. I couldn't ask for better crafty fun!

  • Fiskars - Jenni Bowlin Butterfly Punch, Trimmer, Scissors
  • ModPodge
  • Crayola Crayons
  • Zap! Heat Tool
  • DCWV Paper Stack
  • Paper Smooches Stamp
  • Prima Flowers
  • Memento and Tim Holtz Ink Pads
  • Fiskars Stamps
  • Martha Stewart Paint

Paper Crafters - Attempts

I decided I would take a gander at entering a few cards into a couple contests. No dice but I'm still glad I put myself out there.

Winter Project using Non-Traditional Embellishments:

Charlotte's Web Mirror

I am currently attempting to decorate our new condo. Needless to say it is a slow process but I have had some pretty great crafting adventures!

I created a mirror out of my old childhood book, Charlotte's Web. It was super easy and is now currently hanging in our guest bathroom.

Tie Dye Wedding

This is an older project of mine made during a make and take. The picture is from a friend's Tie Dye Wedding Reception. Needless to say, the project needed some vibrant colors.

Fiskateers - Spring Stamp Out - Day 1

Today is the start of the fiskateers Spring Stamp Online Crop. I haven't had much time to participate but it is only the beginning.

Below is the challenge I attempted thus far.

Black and White Challenge:
Directions - It's a classic! Using just black and white create a stamped project. No other colors allowed. Working with limits brings on creative solutions like texture and layers.
